After graduating High School in 1987, I spent 3 years in the U.S. Army Reserve as an MP, and I worked a variety of civilian jobs from that time until I started my career in Law Enforcement in 1991. During my time as an Officer I spent my entire career in the Patrol Division, with 8 of my 18 years of duty co-serving as an Operator on SWAT.

I truly found my passion for fitness in 2002. At that time, I was at a low point in my life, being recently divorced and sorely out of shape, I did something I never thought I would; I bought a workout program from a TV Infomercial. The program was Power 90 from Beachbody, and I didn’t know it at the time, but that program would ultimately be the starting point that changed the rest of my life.

After completing Power 90 and getting into the best shape of my life, I went on to take on and complete just about every program from Beachbody that I could buy. In 2003 I started to share my passion and experience of fitness on the Beachbody message boards, “coaching” others on their nutrition and fitness programs and ultimately seeing that my help was making a HUGE positive difference in the lives of others!

In late 2006, Beachbody was looking to expand their success in the fitness industry into a Network Marketing Company, which eventually became Team Beachbody. Because of my dedication not only as a Beachbody Customer, but also through my love of helping others with their health & fitness through the message boards, I was invited to join the network side of the business as one of the 41 “Founding Coaches”.

As I learned the ins and outs of Network Marketing, and helped to create the early coach training programs with several other founders, I continued to work full-time in Law Enforcement, as well as building my own Team Beachbody Coaching business.

In mid-2007 I was contacted by Tony Horton (the creator of many top selling Beachbody workout programs) and asked to be a cast member in P90X+, the follow-up series designed to be integrated after people completed the hugely popular P90X program. There were 5 total workouts in the series, and is now sold with P90X.

In 2009 I retired from my career in Law Enforcement so that I could pursue my passion for fitness on a full-time basis. In this same year I became a Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and an MMA Strength & Conditioning Coach. My personal goal was to help as many people as I could with both their fitness, as well as their finances, as more and more people joined my Team Beachbody Coaching Team.

In 2010 I was honored by accompanying Tony Horton on a variety of U.S. Military base tours, allowing us to bring live P90X workouts to our troops. We toured numerous bases in the United States, and also toured Japan.

In 2011 our Military Tours continued, this time including more U.S. bases, as well as bases throughout Europe. It was truly an amazing experience being able to give back to the men and women who sacrifice so much for us on a daily basis! Additionally that year, I was invited back to Los Angeles to be a cast member in Plyocide; a dynamic plyometric workout in the P90X2 series. As Beachbody continued to grow in popularity with their workout programs and supplement line, my business also continued to grow, with more and more people on my team gaining huge success in the business, and their personal lives.

In 2012 our base tours continued with the P90X California Military Tour, as well as a few other bases in the United States.

In 2013 I had the honor of co-creating MMX with Tony Horton. MMX is one of the most popular workouts in the new P90X3 series. In addition to co-creating MMX, I am also a cast member in the workout, as well as another called The Warrior (a workout dedicated to our troops, based on the workout we did with them on our tours). In addition to continuing work with my Team Beachbody business (to include having automated coach training platforms built to facilitate a more streamlined learning process), my wife and I became licensed Co-Owners of The Diet Doc Champaign, a business that specializes in nutritional counseling.

Fast forward to Summer, 2015, and I had the honor of participating in another workout program with Tony Horton.  But this one is different; this is 22 Minute Hardcorps!!  A 22 minute workout system based on real U.S. Military workouts, including an ALL Veteran cast in the base program.  This was, by far, the most intense program I had the pleasure of being a part of, but also one I was most excited for due to it honoring our Troops!  I hope you enjoy doing the workouts as much as we enjoyed filming them! Watch for this one’s release in Q1 of 2016.

Now, my passion remains reaching and helping even more people become who they want to be, both physically and financially. At this point in life, I can’t see myself ever wanting to do anything different than to continue climbing onward and upward while serving others at the same time.
